TALKING 11,INNELS • Commercial Motor's sister publication Railway Gazette International is co-organiser of a two-day Channel Tunnel conference to be held at the Cumberland Hotel, Marble Arch, London on Monday and Tuesday 9 and 10 May 1988. The conference is entitled Rails into Europe and the other two organisers are Eurotunnel and British Rail. One session will be entitled Trucks on Trains.
Speakers will include Transport Secretary Paul Channon, British Rail chairman Sir Robert Reid, British Eurotunnel co-chairman Alastair Morton, Tiphook Rail managing director Michael Barcley and many other senior representatives from the freight transport industry on the Continent.
