The first vehicle is one of 15 being built to Rapide specification and is fitted with 73 reclining seats, toilet, servery and video equipment.
The second batch of 24 Metroliners will be to a more basic specification and will be fitted with 84 fixed seats.
The Rapide double-deckers will be used on the joint National Express and Trathens service to the West Country as well as other services to the North-West and North-East. The basic specification vehicles are expected to be used on services from London to Bristol, Bournemouth and the Midlands.
All 39 of the Cummins L10 engined three-axle coaches should be in service this summer.
