DUNNETT'S Motors of Keiss was granted an extension to its existing stage services from Caithness to Inverness at a hearing in Wick by the Scottish Traffic Commissioners, despite opposition form British Rail.
Merlin Express also asked for and was granted a later start to its existing services to allow a better link up with the Scottish Bus Group's Citylink services south of Inverness.
Newton's of Dingwall offers through booking on to Dunnett's to provide daily services from Scrabster to Glasgow and Edinburgh with a further link up with Cotter's Glasgow-London service.
