IVECO'S SOFIM plant in Foggia. Italy, has produced its 500,000th 2.5-litre 5 1.5kW (6 9bhp) naturally aspirated diesel engine, the power unit fitted to the company's 35.8 Daily range.
The 68.6kW (92bhp) turbocharged version, which was exhibited at the recent Geneva Show, will also be produced there and is expected to become available in the UK later this year.
