Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

on the raising of plated weights, the article does not appear to cover my vehicle.

I own a 1970 Ford DT 1700 six-wheeler, plated by the manufacturer at 24 tons gvw. I put this lorry through its DoE test in October 1971 and it was plated for 22 tons gvw. Can I operate the vehicle at 24 tons gvw when the proposed legislation is enacted or must! wait until October 1 1972 when the DoE test is due again?

AYour vehicle will be able to run at 24 tons

gvw once the necessary legislation has been enacted, but not until the vehicle has been replated by the DoE at the higher weight. When legislation takes effect you will have to have the vehicle replated as soon as possible to run at 24 tons gvw or alternatively run at 22 tons gvw until the due test date in October when the vehicle can be replated for operation at the higher weight.
