Tank Industrial Maintenance

TANK INDUSTRIAL Maintenance has been given permission to base four vehicles and four trailers at a site in Cinder Lane, Killamarsh, Derbyshire subject to conditions and undertakings, which include: • authorised vehicles shall be rigid in type; • these vehicles shall not exceed a speed limit of 10mph on Cinder Lane or Dawber Lane; • maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and vehicle inspections will be audited by an independent third-party body or consultant annually. The transport manager will accompany the auditor when undertaking the audit; • audit reports will be prepared and acted upon; • safety inspections will be planned and never more than six weeks apart. An undertaking attached to the licence is that the operator will forward its next audited accounts to the TC within one month of them being iled with Companies House.

KEYSTONE DISTRIBUTION UK wants authorisation for 20 vehicles and 30 trailers at a unit at its Broadield DC in Pilsworth Road, Heywood.

ROYAL MAIL GROUP hopes to get the green light to station 19 vehicles and eight trailers at a unit in Link North, Ellis Ashton Street, Liverpool.

PEACOCKS STORES can base 20 vehicles and 20 trailers at its DC on the Penygarnddu Industrial Estate in Merthyr Tydil. The company has also been given permission for 50 vehicles and 60 trailers at another DC in Heol Crochendy, Parc Nantgarw, Cardiff. An undertaking attached to the licence is that maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and vehicle inspections will be audited by a trade association (such as the Freight Transport Association or Road Haulage Association) within six months.
