KIT SAMPLES OIL • Anticip-8 is a commercial vehicle monitoring service launched by BP, after trials with operators. Users are issued with a kit to take eight oil samples from vehicles and are faxed an analysis within 36 hours of receipt. Warnings are issued if the tests show risks of component failure.
BP has also sponsored a Vehicle Engineering Handbook, which is published by the Freight Transport Association. Free to FTA members, it costs £25 to others.
