LUCAS AID MINUTE MAN • The Lucas Minute Man Award is introduced at the Lucas International Truckprix at Brands Hatch, 29-30 September. Favourites to crack the 60-second lap barrier will gather at the weekend event which costs £5 admission Saturday, £7 admission Sunday. Children under 16 can view the show free on both days.

AUTO DIAGS CONFERENCE II A conference on Automotive Diagnostics has been organised by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. It takes place on 27-28 November at the Institute's head office based at, 1 Birdcage Walk, Westminster, London SW I.
