Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Coach drivers are being asked to complete a survey which could be used to lobby Government for better pay.

So far 90 drivers have returned the questionnaire which has been compiled by the Greater Manchester Low Pay Unit. All entries must be returned by mid-October so that results can be collated into a report in November.

Already it is clear drivers are dissatisfied with their pay and working conditions, says the project co-ordinator Gabrielle Cox.

Several coach drivers have complained that heavy goods drivers are paid more than they are, and yet the consequences of an accident involving a coach are far more serious, she says.

Cox adds that the survey's results could lead to the unit lobbying for a minimum wage structure.
