Allan Amey has been appointed managing director of van manufacturing at Leyland Daf following Jim Donaghy's resignation.
Amey joined the firm in 1983 as programme manager, engines at Bathgate. After several other appointments he progressed to operations director at the Leyland components plant in 1988. And last year he took charge of a special project team, working on a new generation of vans that Daf is developing jointly with Renault.
