• Foden is about to launch Fodensure Europe, a repair and recovery service run by National Breakdown.
The multi-lingual service will offer 24-hour back-up via a single telephone number. Central invoicing will simplify payments. National Breakdown already runs the existing domestic Fodensure service.
Foden says Fodensure Europe is being offered in response to rising export sales and the number of British operators going abroad.
Foden is to offer a top sleeper pod as an option on all 2000 Series models. The Jennings cab conversion will be factory fitted and costs £1,800 list price.
LI Foden has appointed Friderici of Switzerland as a main dealer. Best known for the Kenworths, it operates on international haulage. Friderici is one of Switzerland's largest operators. Four Type Approval trucks have been prepared for a range of tractor units and drawbar chassis.
The Swiss appointment brings to four the number of countries in which Foden is represented.
