Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

the European Transport Maintenance Council (ETMC) takes place in Hamburg in November.

This year's theme is "Ahead Together", referring to the ETMC's objective of harmonisation and communication between European commercial vehicle manufacturers, operators and legislators.

Among the topics to be discussed are cold weather problems, fuel economy, oil seals and bearings, coach safety and trailer braking. The admission to the two-and-a-half day conference is free but people must first register with the ETMC office in Antwerp, which can also arrange hotel requirements.

Venue for the conference is the Congress Centrtun, Hamburg and it runs from November 9-12.

Dismantling • The Motor Vehicle Dismantlers' Association is holding a trade exhibition on Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5 at the Shepperton Moat House Hotel, Felix Lane, Shepperton, Middx.

loTA conference • The annual conference of the Institute of Transport Administration takes place at Warrington between October 10 and 12 at the Lord Daresbury Hotel.

This year's theme is War and Peace and speakers will include P J Holden, chairman of Dartford International Ferry Terminal, Group Captain P T Squire, who as the CO of a Harrier squadron was involved in the Fafldands conflict, J Shepherd of the UK Atomic Energy Authority and S B Elliott of the International Institute for Strategic Studies.

Engine rebuilding • The Federation of Engine Re-manufacturers is to move its exhibition and conference South next year.

The venue will be the Metropole Hotel, Brighton from May 27 to 30, 1987. The exhibition should be of interest to both engine rebuilders and commercial fleet operators.
