Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NATIONAL Bus subsidiary Crissville must lose 450 of its 3000 employees in a move to keep pace with the recession, and at least one garage is being closed.

The company announced this week that 15 per cent (150 jobs) of its headquarters and central works staff in Chester must go, and engineering, clerical, administrative, and supervisory staff at depots over the next year will lose their jobs.

By the end of next year, 300 traffic staff jobs will have been made redundant as a result of a continued conversion to oneman operation. Market analysis surveys are also leading to some service reductions.

Flint depot — near the Shotton steelworks — will close in April next year, and services will be transferred to surrounding garages.

General manager David Meredith said this week: "The economic climate is against us, particularly in this part of the country where the increase in unemployment is high, and fewer people have taken holidays in our area."
