STEPHEN TRENNERY will shortly take over as traffic manager of the National Bus Company's Eastern National subsidiary. He has been regional co-ordinator of the Market Analysis Project in the southeast for two and a half years. He succeeds Bob Hanley who retires after 45 years in the industry.
Paul Crowther is the new technical executive for the Confederation of British Road Passenger Transport. He joins CPT from Vauxhall where he was a senior project engineer in bus design. Mr Crowther has type approval and legislative experience, and was a member of a Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders working party on central hydraulic systems.
Ford of Britain has made Roger Humm director of sales, in place of Sam Toy who is now chairman and managing director. Mr Humm has been with Ford for 20 years, and was previously a group sales director.
International freight forwarder Ellerman Keyways Ltd has made general manager Peter Murray a board member. Mr Murray joined Ellerman's Wilson Line in 1939, John Withey is personnel manager at London Transport's bus engineering department. He joined LT in 1958 as a trainee draughtsman, and later became a training assistant at Acton underground works. After a spell as training manager in the mechanical engineering department, he became involved with personnel matters in the same department in 1977.
Road Haulage Association Devon and Cornwall secretary Phil Robinson is resigning next month to become manager of the Plymouth cold store, Tony Rieger is managing director of TIP Trailer Rental. He joined TIP in 1977 as general manager of the southern UK division. Mr Rieger has been in the transport industry since leaving school, and was previously general manager of Frigoscandia's transport division. In his new role he succeeds Jim Cleary, founder of TIP's European operations, who becomes executive vice president of TIP Europe,
Other changes at TIP include the appointment of Jeremy Marshall as marketing direc, tor, France. He joined TIP 18 months ago as European market research and development manager, and was previously a senior marketing consultant with International Marketing Economic Services. Graham Macqueen is UK credit manager. He joined the company three years ago.
Frank Tinsdale, former managing director of Magirus Deutz (Great Britain) Ltd and IVECO (UK) Ltd, has taken a controlling interest in Mannin Dealer Agencies Ltd of Douglas Isle of Man. His partner at MDA is Tony Wilding who is a past chairman of Isle of Man National Transport.
