Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ABOUT 7,000 Scottish busmen started a three-week overtime ban this week in support of a L15-a-week wage claim. The decision, taken by representatives of 21 bus depots at talks in Cowdenbeath, Fife, could cut services by about a third in some areas.

The 21 SBG depots cover six regions — Western, Eastern, Scottish, Fife, Midland, Central and Baxters in the Borders. Mr John Foster, convener of the Fife district shop stewards for the passenger section of the Transport and General Workers' Union, said: We are seeking a basic pay of E35 for a 35-hour week as well as an additional week's holiday and other improved conditions."

Meanwhile, the unofficial strike by 250 drivers and conductors at the Eastern Scottish depot at Bathgate over the last week, has cut services in Midlothian and West Lothian. The crews are striking as they consider three buses at the depot are too old to operate.
