AHP Trailers Ltd, Heath Mill Road, Wombourne Industrial Estate, Wornbourne, Wolverhampton, Staffs Two trailers designed for operation in Holland form part of AHP's display.
The first, a tandem-axle tipping skeletal semi-trailer, has six twistlocks which will accept either a 20ft or 30ft ISO container, or a body fitted with ISO corner castings.
The fabricated main-frame is attached via the rear hinge-pin to the tipping skeletal sub-frame. Rubery Owen tandem-axle multi-leaf spring running gear is specified with RO axles, and twoline air brakes are fitted. Unladen trailer weight is 6.6 tonnes (6.5 tong) and the design gross trailer weight is 30.5 tonnes (30 tons).
The tandem-axle skeletal trailer, also for the Dutch market, is fitted with twistlocks to suit one 20ft ISO container, and is design plated for operation at 30.5 tonnes (30 tons) gross trailer weight. It also has two-line air-brake actuation and features Rubery Owen running gear and axles.
The 12.2 m (40ft) step-frame TIR semitrailer is the first step-frame from AHP to have a fabricated main-member assembly. The superstructure height has a 152 mm (6 in) manual height extension facility.
The trailer is plated for operation at 28.5 tonnes (28 tons), the tri-axle bogie to 21.4 tonnes (21 tons) and 9.6 tonnes (9.5 tons) through the kingpin.
The second 40-footer is a dual-purpose platform, coil-carrier semi-trailer plated at 30.5 tonnes (30 tons) gross trailer weight.
