Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• One of the exhibits in the demonstration park at Earls Court during the Commercial Motor Show is a Leyland Leopard coach fitted with bodywork by the Portuguese manufacturer Salvador Caetano. The coachwork has been built to the special instructions of Alf Moseley and Sons Ltd., Loughborough, who, as announced in CM last week, has been appointed sole concessionaire in Great Britain and Eire for the marketing of Salvador Caetano coachwork.

Basic construction is all-metal welded, framed with steel and light alloy and subjected to anti-corrosion treatment after assembly. The general specification includes one-piece fully swept windscreen and rear panel safety glasses, Pan-type windows fitted in anodized aluminium frames and elaborate front and rear panel decorative layouts.

All windows are sealed and forced-air ventilation and individual passenger lighting are provided for the 51 passengers. The seats are fitted with fluted cushions and squabs trimmed in contrasting colours of PVC, each seat fitted with grab handle, ashtray and glove net.

Externally the coach is of typical Continental design with deep windows and rather angular lines, though passengers have very good visibility. The painting scheme is rather overdone by British standards and simplification of this would improve the vehicle's appearance.

A 36ft Leyland Leopard PSU3 /4R chassis forms the basis of the demonstration coach, which is powered by a Leyland 0.680 engine driving through a five-speed Pneumocyclic gearbox. Equipment includes a CAV alternator. exhaust brake, dual-braking system. Tecalemit Airdromic lubrication and 10.00-20 Michelin tyre equipment.
