• Newcastle upon Tyne Corporation is being asked to agree to concessionary fares for old-age pensioners operating daily from 6.30 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. A proposal that the concession be extended until 10.30 p.m. instead of 10 p.m. has not been approved, as it might clash with late-night peak traffic.
