• Awards made by the Institute of British Carriage and Automobile Manufacturers in the Public Service and Commercial Vehicle Body Design Competitions 1967/8 were announced last week. First prize for a general arrangement drawing of a one-man operated single-deck city service bus not exceeding 11 metres long by 21 metres wide went to Mr. D. A. Cox of Birmingham City Transport. Mr. F. Waters, of London Transport (Chiswick Works) Hemel Hempstead, was awarded second prize and third prize went to Mr. G. J. Dudley of Marshall of Cambridge lEngineeringl Ltd.
First prize in competition No. 2, which called for a general arrangement drawing of an articulated insulated box van trailer, was awarded to Mr. W. Barker of Bonallack and Sons Ltd.—for the second time. Mr. R. H. D. Acott of Crane Fruehauf (Dereham) was awarded second prize.
All the above drawings will be on display on Stand 10 at the Commercial Motor Show.
