• Mr J. D. Spooner. who, as reported in CM last week, has been appointed receiver and manager to Taskers of Andover 11932) Ltd. by the debenture holders. Lloyds Bank Ltd, has issued a notice to creditors as follows:
"ft will be necessary for me to make a complete examination of the company's affairs but, in the meantime, it is my intention to continue the business.
-It will be appreciated if suppliers will continue to provide such goods as are required to the company against orders which will be signed by me personally or by my managers on my behalf and I will accept personal responsibility for payment. It must, however, be appreciated that I cannot accept responsibility for payment of goods delivered to the company before my appointment, nor for goods which have been ordered by the company and which have not yet been delivered unless I indicate that I am prepared to accept such goods. As regards undelivered goods these should not be delivered unless and until an order, signed as intimated above. has been received by you.
"For the purpose of my examination of the
company's affairs. I shall be glad if you will please send to me, as soon as possible, the following: la) A statement showing in detail the amount which you claim is owed to you by the company as at the date of my appointment. viz. September 6th 1968. The statement should be accompanied by details showing how the total indebtedness is made up.
(b1 A list of orders, placed by the company with you. for goods which have not yet been fully delivered, showing the details and value of such orders. It is -stressed again that such orders should not be delivered until a confirming order, signed as intimated above. has been received by you.
-As soon as I have had a Statement of Affairs delivered to me by the directors and made my investigations into this generally, it is probable that I shall call a meeting of the creditors to acquaint them of the position as it affects their interests.
"In the meantime, your co-operation in the supply of goods I shall require, as requested above, will be appreciated.
