Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Operating Costs to assess the cost of running articulated vehicles but we are not clear whether the figures for tyres, maintenance and depreciation include both the tractive unit and the semi-trailer.

AThe costs given in the Tables for articul

ated vehicles include both the tractive unit and the semi-trailer, and this applies as much to tyres; maintenance and depreciation as it does to the other cost figures. During compilation of the individual tables a slightly different basis of calculation is used for depreciation as between tractive unit and semitrailer, but the overall figure is adjusted to account for this and the final figure given is applicable to the outfit as a whole.

Each edition of the Tables contains an explanation of how the various items of cost are arrived at in the case of the 1968 edition, this explanation is on pages 31 and 32.
