EIGHT types of tyre are shown on Stand 193. Two of these are steel-cord radials, the H and the T. both with low rolling resistance, long life and high puncture resistance—the "T" being the robustly-patterned high-traction model. Weight-saving and low running cost are special attractions of the Tubeless Transport tyre, while the Duplex is also tubeless but is intended as a "single" replacement for twins or as an oversize tyre to increase load capacity or mobility_ The All Traction Heavy Duty is an on/offthe-road model for tough work, the smaller sizes having a scuffing rib for low-loader applications. Safe grip and high on-road mileage are claimed for the flat-tread Transport model, while the Super Mileage Cross Lug is also long-lived but has high-traction characteristics for loose surfaces.
The Transport 200 has a 40 per cent deeper non-skid tread pattern and deep shoulder bars to give good traction on site work but is a cool-running, stable cover for metalled roads.
