TWO articulated tanks and a demountable tank. all of stainless steel, can be found on this stand. A 3011, three-compartment, 5,600 gal TIR tanker of 32-ton-gross rating is insulated with 2in. of glass fibre and is equipped with steam coils, the outer cladding being also of stainless steel. Having a length of 30ft and fitted with steam coils, a 4,825 gal tanker is insulated with 3in. of glass fibre. The first vehicle is mounted on three-axle running gear and the second on Northern Trailers running gear.
A special type of mounting is employed for the demountable tanker which has a capacity of 4,000gal, and is designed for hazardous liquids. The form of mounting provides a very robust light-weight structure which. is built to the ISO 2011 module.
