THE first Edbro hydraulically operated lever-type bucket-loader designed for 16-tongross chassis is shown on this stand mounted on a Bedford KMS I58in. wheelbase chassis, the steel container in this instance having a capacity of 12 cu.yd. It is designed to handle containers with capacities up to 16 cu.yd. and the vehicle can be used as a platform lorry when it is not carrying containers.
A Leyland Super Comet is equipped with an Edbro 4LNS twin-ram front-end tipping gear and the recently introduced air-pressure system designed to operate the combined power-take-off and hydraulic pump of airbraked vehicles. The steel body has a capacity of 10 cu.yd.
An Edbro F57 underbody tipping gear is fitted to a Foden eight-wheeler which has a 29 cu.yd. riveted-light-alloy body designed for the transport of coal and coke.
