Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Carmichael and Sons (Worcester) Ltd., Engineering Division, The Butts, Worcester,

A NON-TIPPING pressure type bulk-sand articulated tanker of new design is one of two exhibits shown by this company and is seen coupled to a Leyland Beaver tractive unit. The other exhibit is an all-aluminium bulk body of the pneumatic-discharge rotary-seal type which has fold-in sides and is mounted on a Leyland Retriever chassis.

The tanker is constructed of aluminium alloy and has been tested at a working pressure of 15 p.s.i., a Holmes blower being mounted on the tractive unit. It has been designed to provide maximum payload and to enable all the material in the tank to be discharged. Of special importance to some operators, its height is only 10ft 8in. It is seen in the livery of British Industrial Sand Ltd.

A new rotary-seal system designed for the bulk body is hydraulically driven and incorporates a manually operated clutch. It provides for discharge rates inexcess of 30 tons/h of all types of animal feed. A Holmes blower is also driven hydraulically.

A frame of welded steel section is a special feature of a Champion 24ft by 8ft cattle container mounted on an Albion 16-ton g.v.w. chassis/cab. The body is constructed to permit tilting of the cab.
