FOUR exhibits are on this company's stand, one being a completely new vehicle which has not been seen before. This is called the Transliner low-loader and is an aluminium stepped-frame van which is available in trailer weights of 11 tons, 16 tons and 19 tons. It can be had in standard lengths from 22ft to 40ft overall and there are numerous alternative interior heights.
The bodywork can be furnished with a comprehensive range of door or roller shutters, special tailboards or electrohydraulic tail lifts. Almost any design requirement can be met for specific application. The three other exhibits have all been seen at previous Shows. Two are from the Expediter range, one being model F.27.TC which is a dual-purpose tandem-axle fifthwheel unit equipped with twist locks for carrying 20ftor 30ft-long ISO containers. It is equipped with a I .125in.-thick hardwood deck for general cargo and it also has a specially reinforced headboard.
The Brockhouse fully non-reactive running gear is fitted as standard equipment on the model which also is equipped with a load-sensing valve in the brake circuits. Brakes are 16-5in. by 7in. S-cam and the trailer has 9.00-20, 14-ply tyres. The second Expediter shown is a 19.25-ton grass trailer weight model which is 28ft long and has a flat platform body with steel headboard. This trailer is available in alternative lengths ranging from 24ft to 40ft in increments of lin. This unit is also mounted on the Brockhouse non-reactive suspension but in this case it is fitted with 10.00-20, 16-ply tyre equipment as standard.
The last and smallest exhibit on the Brockhouse stand is a 10.5-ton gross trailer weight automatic coupling semi-trailer with an 18ft 6in. long platform floor, headboard and special load retaining facilities. This is one of four standard production models with automatic couplings all of which are available in a number of alternative lengths.
