Who is the Irish Haulier of the Year? All was revealed at a glittering event held in Dublin this month Patric Cunnane reports.
0 'ReillyTransport is Irish Road Haulage Association Haulier of the Year. CM legal editor Patric Cunnane presented MDs Eugene and Virginia O'Reilly and their family with the coveted trophy during a gala dinner in Duhlin."This company demonstrated a great deal of forward thinking in its development of technology for the benefit of its customers," said Cunnane.
"We will use the award for promotion. That's what it's all about," said Eugene O'Reilly. "We've expanded every year since we started and we are optimistic we will do the same this year."
Ireland's junior yransport minister Ivor CalleIy told guests that the awards "have come to be recognised as one of the highest honours the road transport industry has to offer.
"One of the great strengths of the awards is that hauliers are nominated by other hauliers in the industry.To be nominated.., is an _honour in itself." •
