• The Motor Show marks the birth of Parkfield Automotive, a new component manufacturing group with a projected 1988/89 turnover of over £100 million.
This would make the Parkfield Group subsidiary one of the top 10 British component suppliers.
The fledgling division will combine the automotive marketing operations of Parkfield Wheels, Parkfield Pressings & Fabrications, Parkfield Castings and Parkfield Plastics. It will manufacture at 11 plants in the UK and Spain.
