Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FOLLOWING a study into light commercial vehicle operating conditions, Freight Rover has revised its 0-series 1.7 and 2litre petrol engines fitted to the Sherpa van range.

The new engines will be called the 0-Commercial and feature improved external strenghtening ribs on the cylinder block and revised internal cool passages.

The previously fitted machined-steel valves have also been replaced by nimonic alloy units which Freight Rover claims are less susceptible to wear.

Valve clearance checks on 0Commercial engines are now only required after 24,000 miles, compared to 12,000 on the old 0-Series engine.

Performance figures remain unaltered with the 2-litre engine producing 63kW (84.5bhp) at 4,200 rpm, while the 1,7 litre version gives a maximum 45.5kW (61bhp) at 4,100 rpm.

Maximum torque for the 2litre 0-Commercial is 149Nm (110 lbft) and 116Nm (86 lbft) for the 1.7 litre engine.
