THE MOVE to make 20 seats on National Travel's White Arrow coaches available to non-smokers is being followed on all National coaches.

From November 1, the front 20 seats on all of its 2,000 coaches will be identified by stickers.

It claims that only 10 per cent of its passengers — smokers and non-smokers alike — want smoking permitted everywhere on the coaches.

Some services will have coaches with non-smoking sections before November 1, as stickers are being applied as soon as they become available.
