Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DRIVER .members of the Transport and General Workers Union in the West Midlands were refusing to move Ford vehicles into the motor show at NEC this week. This is in sympathy with Ford workers, who are in dispute with the company.

They warned Ford that any attempt to move vehicles with non-union labour would result in the entire blacking of all exhibits.

This would have led to the cancellation of the £20m international Show.

Ford's alternative plan for its stand is an impressive display of the design, construction, and operation of the components used in a selection of its vehicles from Transit to Transcontinental.

Throughout the week, the company has been hopeful that West Midlands drivers would relent and put the vehicles on show.

The display vehicles were parked under sheets close to NEC and the other commercial vehicle manufacturers with stands adjacent to Ford's promised to move their installed displays to allow Ford access to its stand if necessary.

This offer is holding good up until the last moment — the day before the official opening.
