WILLIAM Brunskill, former managing director of a transport company which handled major steel haulage contracts in the North-East, has been cleared in court of corrupting two British Steel Corporation traffic officials.

Mr Brunskill, 63, was found not guilty by a jury at Teesside Crown Court on seven bribery charges. His firm, William Brunskill and Son Transport Ltd of Hartlepool, Cleveland, was cleared of a similar charge.
