Wigan, was acquired by Ocean Transport and Trading Ltd in July of this year, is making a bid to improve its position in the commercial vehicle field.

Following 18 months testing, involving thousands of tyres, the company has decided to introduce a range of four retread tyres for the commercial van market.

Some patterns are available in micro-sipe form providing small lateral slits said to improve traction and reduce heat build up.

After assembly on the carcass curing and bonding takes place at less than 100°C (212°F) under a pressure of only 207 kN/sqm (30psi).
