Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HESTAIR Dennis has appointed two more dealers for its new 16-ton haulage chassis — and they are both involved in haulage.

Spillers Transport Services is to take on responsibility for the Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Avon and Devon areas while George T. Fraser of Aberdeen takes on the Western Isles, Highland, Grampian and Tayside regions.

A Dennis spokesman told CM: "We chose hauliers for the job because they all know what it's like when the wheels stop turning, and they work 24 hours a day.

"Some people start with a showroom and shut up shop at 5pm and that's it. We know that this won't happen with operators as agents," he said.

Spillers is to use facilities formerly used to service vehicles involved in the bread trade before the company pulled out of the bread business.

The spokes man commented that Spillers still has complete servicing facilities and repair workshops that would adapt to their new role.

Discussions are going on with 13 more potential dealers nationwide — but the company has said that it will only appoint one dealer for each area, roughly corresponding to the traffic areas.
