MRS. CASTLE is not the only one in the family who has transport questions on her mind. Husband Ted asked at the GLC council meeting last week: (a) What was the closing date for applications for the post of traffic commissioner in the highways and transportation department? (b) How many applications have been received? (c) When is it proposed to interview those selected for the short list?
Replies by Mr. Leslie Freeman: (a) July 7 1967; (b) 103: (c) shortly.
