Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BRITISH INDUSTRY loses moil working days through sicknew and accidents than througl strikes. Trades Union Congres1 general secretary Len Murra) said earlier this week when h( opened the Health and Safety At Work Exhibition in London.

"More time is lost as a resuf of industrial accidents anc diseases than strikes. But wher it comes to describing thE damage, we hear a lot aboui strikes but practically nothing about accidents," he claimed.

Health and safety are subjects which are never off the agenda of the TUC's own annual congress, or the monthly meetings of its general council, said Mr Murray.

"We have always done more than deplore the accidents and diseases that occur in industry."
