THE 1982 edition of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders' statistical publication is now available for £15 to SMMT members and E26.50 to non-members.
The book contains everything you wanted to know about vehicles but never dared ask, for production details are broken down into fine detail, including types and vehicles and tyres.
There are domestic and overseas statistics of vehicle produc tion and vehicles in use, and miscellaneous details include vehicle taxation arrangements and rules of the road in overseas countries.
