GABRIELLE GERRANS, a talented 16-year-old Bicester girl, has won a competition sponsored by Impulse for a Christmas card design for the Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund. The circular picture is of three ragged, cold children gazing through the bow window of a warm room with all the seasonal trappings.
Lionel Rouse has contributed his usual winter vintage motoring scene to Ben's collection. This year it shows an SS Jaguar, hood and windscreen bravely lowered, in the snow. In the background is what could be an Austin Seven Ruby saloon — a mechanical variation on Gabrielle's rays and riches theme.
