CUMMINS ENGINE has made David Armstrong automotive marketing director, based at the European headquarters in New Malden, near London.
Mr Armstrong first joined Cummins in 1965 and has served in a number of marketing positions.
Since 1977 he has been based on the continent, first in the Cummins Brussels office and then for the last three years as manager of Cummins' operations in France.
In his new position he will be responsible for sales and marketing of Cummins engines for lorry and bus markets throughout Europe.
Mr Armstrong will report to Michael Howell, vice president of European Businesses.
