AART VAN DER PADT has been elected chairman of the board of management of DAF Trucks. He succeeds Piet Van Doorne who died last month.
The new chairman will have special responsibility for corporate strategy, government relations, internal and external relations and the company's special products division.
He has been a member of the DAF Trucks board of management since January 1981 and was made vice chairman in July this year. He first joined the company in 1958.
