Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MHERE COMES a, time when most commercial vehicle users require to obtain some replacement or spare part. which is needed with the utmost expedition in order to keep the vehicle on the road. However admirable may be the makers' spare-part service, delay in getting into touch with the headquarters of the company is almost inevitably bound to occur, with the result that it may be many days, or, in cases where a complete and perhaps costly component is needed, even longer, before the part. is received. It is there that the reputable dealer in replacement and spare parts in a big way of business is able to give invaluable service,

The Elephant Motor Mart, the proprietors of which are Elephant Motors, Ltd., of 97-101, Newington Causeway, London, SE., have built up a worthy reputation for expeditious service in the matter of supplying spare parts for models of recent manufacture and of making parts for types which theoretically may have become obsolete. In fact, this is one of the an features of the company's business, and they make the bold claim that they can, at short notice, supply any conceivable spare part which may be called for by a user.

Elephant Motors, Ltd., have recently opened new and extensive premises at the addrbss which age have given, and the new building is a most imposing structure. It possesses a frontage of 60 ft., and its four floors extend 200 ft. to the rear. On these premises there are some thousands of bins, neatly and orderly arranged, which house small and large parts. the extent of the stock in each bin :being governed by the freq.uency of the demand which is made for it. Each of these bins is neatly labelled with an identification plate, -which also indicates the type and model for which the part is adapted and the number of spares in stock.

It would be impossible in the space at our disposal to give a description of the various spare parts and components which are part of the regular stock; suffice it to say that certain spares that are likely to be required •by the users of prominent British and foreign vehicles which are in use in this country can be obtained in a few hours.

In the case of obsolete models, providing the company have a pattern from which they can work, they can make a replacement part at their works in Coburg Road, S.E. The works are adequately equipped to undertake jobs of this description, the modern machine tools including lathes of various patterns, millers, drillers, gear-cutters and the like.

The company's range of supplies is not confined to mechanical parts, however, for they alai have considerable quantities of tyres of various makes in stock, and can also give speedy attention to applications for road wheels of all sizes.

Another branch • of the company's business is concerned with the supply of various classes of accessories, and amongst those which we recently inspected on the occasion of a visit to the company's premises were petrol can carriers, paraffin lamps, spot-lights, etc., all of which showed excellence of menu facture and workmanship.
