Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

: Myers Transport, a Cheltenham-based haulier with a turnover of 2300,000, has quit the industry after being ''undercut by the big boys".

New management at Clansman Films, Myers' main client, decided that the firm was no longer competitive, despite a working relationship which dates back more than 15 years.

William Myers says he was accused of being a "rip-off merchant" and was told the contract would end immediately. It's all I've been doing for the last few years and we've only just broken even," he adds. "I don't know how the other hauliers will make a profit" The contract has since been awarded to John Raymond Transport and one other haulier.

Despite having a few other small customers Myers says: "It's not worth carrying on, especially with this economic climate and high diesel prices. I've been in haulage all my life, as have my sons, but I'm glad to be out of it."

The company has gone into voluntary liquidation; all 11 staff have found new jobs.
