Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• ERF has acquired the design rights to Marshall Specialist Vehicles' municipal cab and minibus chassis, together with its Bedford Parts operation, for 25.25m. The municipal cab has previously been bought from Marshall by ERF for use on the EU model, but the minibus chassis marks a move into new territory.

The Bedford Parts business still has an extensive international customer base, includ

ing our own Ministry of Defence, with 24,000 vehicles in service. It will continue to operate as it does now with all staff being retained, but the parts operation of ERF's parent, Western Star, should improve worldwide coverage.

This deal follows last week's announcement that the Canadian government has invested 226m in Western Star to finance a new truck factory in British Columbia.
