The council met last week in ,ondon at its Annual General /Ieeting, and agreed after engthy discussions that the Z.HA should accept the res)onsibility for negotiations.
Moves to set up the new iegotiating machinery have ilready been greeted with !nthusiasm by the unions and ZHA area secretaries — in )ther words the men and women in the firing line when :alks start over the next round of pay and conditions claims.
