determined to fight on against an insurance company following an accident involving a BRS truck which he says left him £ 13,000 out of pocket.
Dover-based Alf Buckman has criticised NFC's insurers for delaying his claim for .0,000 lost earnings after a BRS driver reversed into his parked truck last October. The company has already paid 14,500 for repairs to the charge-cooler on Buckman's Scania after the BRS driver admitted reversing into it as Buckman slept just off the A14 near Kettering.
But Buckman is furious that three months passed before the insurer rejected the accounts he submitted to prove his lost earnings and demanded proof of his profits for the previous six months.
An NFC spokesman says that the matter is being dealt with by its insurers. "These things can take some time," he adds.
CM has been told: "I-le made a claim, we disputed the amount and that has taken some time. We are in the process of writing back to him. It's standard insurance practice."
