Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

* Delta Design has introduced a flas-hing amber beacon mainly for the rear of vehicles, although front mounting is possible too. Traditional rear-mounted warning beacons rotate through 360° and much of their light is wastefully directed into the body of the vehicle, particularly if the light is mounted low.

The new beacon is designed to send light in one direction only and is aimed specifically at the refuse and municipal truck market. The new design is based on a long-life xenonfilled tube but, because the light is reflected just one way, power rating has been cut to just 5W, compared with the normal 55W of a rotating beacon. The new beacons can be synchronised.
