AT THE invitation of the Curtis Automobile Co., Ltd., 18, Berkeley Street, Piccadilly, London, W.1, we recently inspected, and had a short trial run on, their latest 18-seater de luxe Lancia coach on the well-known
Tetralota chassis. The illustration of this vehicle cannot convey more than an incomplete imoresSion of the handsome appearance or this vehicle, which is finished:in silver grey, and, except for its size, closely resembles a private tour Mg car, which resemblance is not belieu by the comfort of its upholstery, the vil3rationless riding achieved by the rasa" of long springs and pneumatic tyres, and the standard fittings, which include electric lighting and starting and an eieetrie horn.
Although the T'etraiota chassis was designed as a 2-tonner, it can achieve and maintain speeds far in.exce,ss of those legally permitted; for which reason it is provided with four speeds.
Our trial run included -such populous centres as Hammersmith and Putney,
and although the return journey was made in pouring rain, the coach proved very speedy, easily controllable in traffic, and quite free from any tendency to skid, in spite of the fact that it carried only three passengers. The price of the chassis is £750, including pneumatic tyres and two spare wheels.
