Patching it up
I The Department of Transport plans to improve a 2.6km length of the A27 trunk road at Patching, West Sussex.
The proposed section of dual carriageway leaves the A27 west of its junction with Dapper's Lane and goes across Ecclesden Common before crossing Water Lane (A280) south of its junction with the A27.
Am ■ ATHE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT
The route continues across the stream feeding Patching Pond to a new two-level junction with the A280 near Potlands Copse. East and west facing slip roads would be provided at the junction to give access to and from the detrunked A27 and the local road network.
From the junction the route heads east before re-joining the existing dual two-lane A27 just east of Titnore Lane.
