LEYLAND Kip managing dir tor Ken Maciver has sent a let to transport committee me bers on West Midlands Coui Council pointing out the dal ers of a parochial bus-buy policy.
The Council had decided that• entire WMPTE 1982 bus on should go to local manufactu Metro-Cammell Weymann 175 Metrobuses.
The committee said that o ers for the next three ye should also go to MCW, thou 100 vehicles would be ordei from another manufacturer part of a dual-sourcing policy.
WMPTE recommended that orders should be split, with 1 largest part of the cake going MCW and the rest to Leyland Olympian buses.
