Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

OVER 2,100 goods vehicles are affected by the Department of Transport/Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders vehicle recall campaign for October to December last year.

On October 23, MAN-VW recalled 244 MT 6.90, 8.90, 8.136, and 9.136 vehicles numbered between WVM056000A0000001 and WVM06000A01558. They suffer from a possible displacement of a circlip in the handbrake valve, and this allows the operating lever to become detached from the valve body, resulting in loss of handbrake control.

On the same day, Dodge recalled 1,560 50-Series built in 1979/80, with chassis numbers from 2 00 861 to 2 02 91 2, to change bolts in the steering arm. In some cases, steering arms became detached, and steering control was lost.

Ford recalled 210 D-Series built from March 13 to 21, 1980, to check possible distortion or misalignment of the tilting cab torsion bars, which could result ' in a foul condition with the under-cab thermo plastic brake pipes.

And, on December 8, Bedford recalled 96 MOO-Series vehicles in the ranges from GW112070 to KW 100101 and from GW456049 to KW455278. They may suffer from lossening of the studs and nuts securing the steering third arm to the tracta joint housing.
